Normal Fully Assembled Shinai with Gin-Type Toko Tsuka (Keichiku) is your day to day training Shinai. It comes in Children's size for training.

Shinai product specification guide

This Shinai is pre assembled. The Shinai at any one size has only one Tsuka size fitted and can't be changed.

How to select the right Shinai for your child. With the Shinai vertically touching the floor, the length must be at a height that is lower than the shoulder and higher than the armpit. See diagram below.

• Full Assembled Weight does not include Tsuba and Tsubadome, and the weight range is a guide where the fully assembled Shinai's weight will fall into for this model of the Shinai.
• Tsuka Diameter is taken approximately 1 ~ 2 cm from the end of the Tsuka of the Bamboo Shinai, and is a specification estimation.
• Basic assembly of Shinai does not include Tsuka or Tsuka Dome. Tsuka and Tsuka Dome will need to be purchase separately unless specified.

Shinai Specification in detail

Tsuka Diameter is taken approximately 1 ~ 2 cm from the end of the Tsuka of the Bamboo Shinai. It is a specification estimation to the closest mm. Image below is an example how a 28mm Tsuka Diameter would be measured and checked at the end of production. Important to note that the Tsuka Diameter reference is not the diameter at the end of the Tsuka. Oval Handles does not have a designated specific Tsuka Diameter due to its oval shape.
